The Hallamshire Ski Club was formed in 1969 by a small group of like-minded skiers who in the early days walked uphill as there were no lifts! Then skied back down on wooden skis with cable Bindings & wearing leather boots.
The Club is based in the South Yorkshire region of the United Kingdom but we do have some members further afield. The Club has a ski tow setup on a nearby hill - ready & waiting for the white stuff!
The club is run by a committee which is elected each year.
The Committee meet regularly to look after the membership's interests, arrange group ski holidays, social events etc.
The club is also affiliated with the Sheffield Ski Village, Xsacpe Castleford and the English Ski Council which provides our members with discounted rates etc. We meet once a month and if you would like to join us, please use the feedback form or signup to become a member and we will get in touch.
